WINTER NIGHTS IN FRONT OF A FIREPLACE

We should go back to our grandmothers' forgotten customs such as sitting by the fireplace during winter nights knitting. It's one of those things I would like to learn. But times have changed so: let's knit but let's make something fashion, and let's be trained by a design master. I love the knit kit from Kenzo!

With this kit it's possible to make or a scarf or a waistcoat, it's up to your skill, which anyway will be guided step by step.
I think it's genious: taking inspiration from old customs and dressing them up for fashion (victim) girls. Can't wait to buy a rocking chair and spending the rest of the winter knitting.

Vogue posted these gorgeous looks to take inspiration from, with reasonable prices. Finally also Vogue got that now being fashion and glamorous doesn't need a lot of money anymore! Isn't this also the aim of all the fashion blogs (such mine of course): sharing tips about having a gorgeous look without spending a fortune.

GIFT MARKET ON A WINTER DAY

One of the things I love the most is when a day turns out to be unforgettable and special in an easy way.
Yesterday we menage to be free, and to spend the day together. We decided to go for a walk in Perugia, the city where we live.
In Perugia every Christmas time it's held a "Mercatino delle Strenne", which means a Christmas gifts market. It was raining, it was cold, but our hearts were so warm and happy.

A SERIOUS ENGLISH TEACHER

During all these years I've been able to keep some of my English students. So although now I'm doing all another job, twice or three times a week I have also some English lessons. This is the outfit I wore this time.

I created this skirt, or to put it better, I told my dressmaker what I wanted and she made it.

Colour the winter

I don't know where you live, but where I live it's raining since five days. I can't stand anymore this sky and the absence of colours.
Luckily I have my beautiful cyclamens which give me colour everytime I look outside the window (I have learnt if I want cyclamen to bloom they must stay outside)
