On the 10th of September a new Chanel "corner" has opened in Soho, the beating heart of downtown Manhattan.

As Soho is full of art, life and glamour so is the boutique, which for the occasion presented some unique fashion exclusives, very special and all to be discovered.

BZZ GIVES ME A BUZZ

On Vogue Sept (Italian issue), there was a very interesting supplement, about all brand new designers.
As soon as I set my eyes on Bzz, I couldn't avoid to love it!
Bzz is the label  of Davide Bazzerla, a Verona born designer.
"bzz quotes the first three letters of the designer’s taxpayer code, and recalls the spelling of a noise – a buzz – as continous as it is dissonant but anyway present, though sometimes undetectable." (quoted from his website- linked at the bottom of this post)

He is everything fashion is to me: eclectic, visionary, architectonic, world-inspired  and inspiring.

I LOVE TARTAN, MY CAT LOVES TARTAN

I'm not planning a trip to Scotland very soon, but I bring something of this beautiful land with me every year.
I've been always very fond of tartan, so when the first chill arrives I'm ready to wrap myself in this gorgeous cloth, arming myself with  my umbrella, and fight the windy, cold temperatures. By the way now it's raining cats and dogs in Italy...

In the family I'm not the only one who really likes tartan...Take a look at my cat Socks. He is a real admirer of it!

Last but not least, the new tartan tale collection of MAC (in stores from October 2010). I love the packaging, the six eyeshadows, the blushes.Gorgeous! So Brit!

DIVA'S TOAST

Since we came back from our amazing trip to the Big Apple we have become very fond of toasted bread.
And since we are back, we have to reconnect ourselves to our lives here,  I decided  therefore to cook a lot: cooking always gives me the sense of being at home. And which is the parfum that more than others can bring back home? For me it is the smell of home-made bread. So I dusted off my BM (bread machine) and I prepared this great multigrain flour bread

We ate it very quckly, so this is the only picture I was able to take.

Recipe:
• 360 ml of water• 2 sp extravergin oil.• 2 coffeespoon of salt • 1 csp of brown sugar • 400 gr of multi grain flour• 2 csp of yeast • poppy seeds

Add all the ingredients in the machine following the given order; select the program; push start.
And then find something else to do!

Did all this help me reconnect myself with the fact of being at home? Honestly it did!
So I'm going keep on baking!

5 THINGS I NEED TO HAVE IN MY PURSE

Women's purses are like caves, full of undiscovered treasures even they didn't know to have. It's so hard when they have to change bag: so many things must be re-allocated (in my case also so many things to throw away...I mean garbage!) that the operation takes at least half an hour + the previous half an hour to pick the right bag = they (we) are already one hour late.
But even when time is running out, there are things they NEED to have since you never know what is going to happen (end of the world, meeting George Clooney...).
These are the things this fall won't miss ever in my purse (not including of course wallet, personal planner, cell phone and things like that):

YSL's touche eclat: it's perfect to re-touch makeup in the afternoon when  eyes start to look so tired and there is that greyish halo around them.

Never without my fisheye camera: I love lomography, and you never know when it's going to be the perfect next moment to take a picture. To learn more about lomography, click here

 I found this brand in NY, we don't have it in Italy, and I liked it so much. Everything is made just with very natural products, they have a real smell of things that exist on the earth (and not such a tropical-rainforest-drops of cotton: eh????). I also bought the organic tea and mint tonic water. So good.
This cheek stain is perfect, it gives light to cheekbones, and just a hint of colour to complexion. I like it also because it's quite small, and not as big as the Tarte one, so it's easy to bring it around.

This fall I'm going to wear very dark lipstick, I like it so much with the not kissed by the sun skin. I always have  one in my purse, so if i'm not going back home in the evening before going out for dinner, I can change totally my look.

Usb key: every time I needed one I realized I didn't have it with me. Problem solved, this one can stay with my house keys. It's from LaCie and it's 8G. Isn't it cute?

I'm back from my vacation in New York and I can't still put myself together.
