BB: BRIGITTE BARDOT?

I have been so not updated lately that I discovered what BB meant just few weeks ago. As I am so into old movies I honestly thought it was something about Brigitte Bardot. Then a very wise lady explained what BB meant nowadays...Blemish Balm. BB creams come straight from Asia: women there are used to use them since forever, and their skins glow! To be honest, I was very skeptical, but I gave them a shot, and ta dah...I like them a lot. Especially now, that it starts being warmer, I prefer not to wear any foundation. So this is my beauty ritual in the morning:

rose water: to fresh and to give a tone to the skin (toner, in fact!)
eye-cream: lately I am using Hur products
day cream: Nuxe, Nuxe and only Nuxe
BB cream: I am using Garnier, 10 Euros in supermarkets can buy you a fantastic product!

I got so curious I want to try them all!

Be happy and...glow!

I AM SIMPLY IN THE PINK, MY DEAR

Technically they stole my idea: I always thought I could look really pretty if I had pink hair, if I mixed all these prints, if I a had a wolf as a pet...
I think the least they could do was giving me the credits of it...

and my eyes keep on looking for pink...

HOURGLASS

I have been totally ravished from the beauty and poetry of Francesca Mo's jewels. I especially love the Hourglass collection, made with small shells, sand, old gears from old watches and things we all  probably collected when we were kids but then an adult made disappear.
Francesca found all these pieces and created jewels.
I can't stop looking at them. They remind me as a kid with my hands full of sand seated waterfront staring at the horizon.

Be happy and keep your heart full of dreams!

GIVE ME A BREAK

Sunday afternoon, I am on diet: come on, do I have to look like this when I will wear my bikini? I need a break. Actually I am hungry. Donna Hey has the solution:

home made (light granola) with yogurt and fresh strawberry.

In a bowl make a mix of
oat flakes (biological and unsugared) - 2 large cups
add pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds - 1/2 cup each
some dried apricot
some almonds
maple syrup - 7/8 tablespoon
and mix all together.
Put the mixture in the oven for 10 minutes, quite close to the grill so that it can get crunchy and slightly burnt (I said slightly!). Let it cool down before putting in a jar.
Create your own cup: fresh fruit on the bottom, unsugared yogurt, your granola on the top.

Delicious and healthy. My perfect break: totally without feeling guilty!

Be happy and enjoy every minute!

PETALS

LAtely I am so much into cooking in a "stylish" way and my best friend got me a book from Donna Hey "no time to cook" where healthy food and style merge together. This got me inspired in preparing:
Raw Veggie Petals with light cheese cream

Petals:
I cut the carrots and the celery with a slicer, but basically it can be done with every raw vegetable

for the cheese dip:
light creamy cheese
3tb of extra virgin olive oil
salt
pepper
lemon juice
thyme
lemongrass
Emulsify all the ingredients with the blender and serve the dip in small glasses.
Put the veggie petals in Japanese bowls and serve them both in a plate giving all your guests chopsticks to eat them.

Be happy and enjoy petals!

A LAUGHTER WILL KEEP US ALIVE

I still remember all the laughter I had with my mother when I was a child. I can recall in my ears our crystalline giggles. She pulled my leg and tricked me in such a loving and caring way. Through our laughter I deeply realize I never will be loved the way she loves me.
Aren't laughters the best way to let love flow?

Love and cherish your day!

I DREAM OF SPRING

During this period of the year, as the spring is shyly coming out, I love to fill all the rooms of the house with fresh flowers. They bring life, light and love. Isn't spring a season full of life? If we learn to breath with it, I really think we can learn to reborn somehow. Accepting the change makes us strong. Strong and beautiful as these flower.
On the last number of Elle Italy I have discovered this unique flower design, Giulio Guazzoni from Numero 9 in Milan. Can we call them bunches of flowers?

Be happy and blossom!
